In 1919, the city of Chicago was rocked by a severe race riot. The powers that be swept the riot under the carpet. I went to school in Chicago area schools. They never once mentioned the 1919 riot. I would like to do a documentary on the riot and a few other race riots that occured around the same time. In what has been called Red Summer.
